Jason McAteer will continue his role as player-coach at Tranmere Rovers after signing a fresh one-year contract. The 35-year-old will work alongside new manager Ronnie Moore and assistant boss John Breckin at Prenton Park.
McAteer was in charge for Rovers' final match of the season following the departure of former boss Brian Little.
The former Liverpool player joined Tranmere two seasons ago and has scored five goals in over 50 appearances for the League One side.
