Preston have increased their offer for Tranmere striker Iain Hume. And initial offer from the Championship side for the League Two club's forward is believed to have been rejected but Preston seem determined to land Hume.
The 21-year-old Candian international is Tranmere's top scorer with six goals so far this sesaon.
"We've increased the bid for Iain Hume in the last 24 hours and we are very hopeful that we can get this done," said Preston boss Billy Davies.
