Dos Santos had a successful loan spell with Ipswich last season

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that striker Giovani Dos Santos will join Turkish outfit Galatasaray on loan until the end of the season.

The Mexico international has played only 15 matches for the London club since moving from Barcelona in 2008.

Giovani, 20, went on loan to Ipswich Town last season, scoring four goals in eight matches before returning to White Hart Lane.

However an ankle injury has restricted him to three appearances this season.

The move reunites Giovani with Frank Rijkaard, who coached Barcelona before moving to Galatasaray.

Former Tottenham boss Juande Ramos signed Giovani for an initial £4.7m in June 2008.
