Robinson had been Spurs' number one for almost four years |
Paul Robinson's future at Tottenham remains uncertain after first-team coach Gustavo Poyet refused to confirm reports he has made a transfer request. Robinson, 28, was left on the bench for the second game in a row on Saturday against Chelsea after being dropped for Wednesday's Carling Cup tie at Arsenal.
Asked whether the goalkeeper had asked for a move, Poyet said: "I would say no comment because I don't know.
"There is nothing wrong with Paul. He was part of the team and squad today."
Robinson, capped 41 times by England, appears to have fallen out of favour with Spurs boss Juande Ramos, who has stated his intention to bring a new goalkeeper to White Hart Lane.

The former Leeds stopper has endured a torrid season for club and country. He has made several high-profile blunders in the Premier League which eventually saw him lose his England place to Scott Carson for the Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia.
Ramos insisted he had dropped Robinson to give Czech stopper Radek Cerny an opportunity, amid reports of an argument with Robinson.
"There are 24-25 players in the squad and they all have to play at some point and make the most of the minutes they have on the pitch," he said after Wednesday's match.
"All of the players are important, all are considered and I choose who I think is best for each match. Only 11 can play."
