 Ziegler has only made four first-team appearances this season |
Spurs' midfield man Reto Ziegler has joined Italian side Sampdoria on loan until the end of the season. The 21-year-old Swiss international has made four first team appearances this season, and was on loan at both SV Hamburg and Wigan last term.
Ziegler joined Spurs from Grasshoppers in August 2004 and went on to make 31 appearances in his first season.
Spurs boss Martin Jol hopes a spell in Genoa, where Sampdoria lie 10th in Serie A, will benefit Ziegler.
