Jol angered by 'racist' chanting
Mido
Tottenham boss Martin Jol has expressed his unhappiness at chants from West Ham fans aimed at Egyptian striker Mido in Sunday's 1-1 draw.

Mido, a Muslim, was subjected to chants about his religion.

Jol said: "Was it tasteless? Yes. Our fans gave Teddy Sheringham a marvellous reception on his return and that is the way we deal with things here."

The Football Association says it will write to both clubs to ask for their observations of events.

An FA spokesman said: "We want to build up a complete picture of events and how disturbing they might have been.

"We need to see what the clubs have to say about them."

Spurs' Paul Stalteri told The Sun newspaper: "It is nonsense. It does not belong in sport. It is a form of racism.

"I don't think he will be affected by it. He scored a great goal so he has given them the right answer."
