PSV Eindhoven defender Lee Young-Pyo has completed his move to Tottenham. The 28-year-old left back, who was part of the South Korea team which reached the 2002 World Cup semi-finals, is rumoured to have cost about �1.35m.
Tottenham head coach Martin Jol told the club's official website he was "very happy" to sign the left-back.
"He's played in the Champions League and is the best left-back in Holland. A number of Italian clubs would have liked to have taken him."
Lee spent three years at PSV where he followed his former national team manager Guus Hiddink six months after the 2002 World Cup.
"He is an attacking full-back and is a big star in Korea having achieved so much success in Europe," added Jol.
"I am very happy he is coming to Spurs and very proud of it. Like Edgar Davids he has made the decision to come to Spurs and it is a big thing for the club."
