Ziege eyes German return
Tottenham's Christian Ziege hints at a return to the Bundesliga when his contract runs out in the summer.
Tottenham's Christian Ziege has hinted at a return to the Bundesliga when his contract runs out in the summer.

The German left-back said family concerns were the main reason as to why he was thinking of leaving England.

"My contract runs out in the close season so my plans hinge on that," Ziege told German magazine Kicker.

"I still have the Premier League, but I have been living away from Germany for seven years now and my children have not lived in their homeland yet."

He added: "There has not been any contact from the Bundesliga but I could well imagine going back there."

The 32-year-old, who has been capped 71 times by Germany but been out of the international scene for the last 13 months, hopes to be part of Rudi Voller's Euro 2004 squad.
