Torquay boss Paul Buckle has released experienced midfielder Tony Bedeau and three other players.
Bedeau, 29, originally joined the Gulls in 1995 and has played over 400 times in two spells for the club. He was loaned to Weymouth earlier this season.
Also leaving are midfielders Matt Hockley and Darren Mullings and defender Paul Hinshelwood.
Buckle is still in discussions with Kevin Hill, who broke the club's appearance record on Saturday.
Defender Chris Robertson is also set to have talks with the club.
Meanwhile loan players Chris Zebroski, Mark Ellis and Jody Banim have all gone back to their parent clubs.
After returning to Droylsden, Banim has subsequently joined Torquay's Blue Square Premier rivals Burton.
