Torquay United have signed midfielder Scott Laird on a month's loan from neighbours Plymouth. Gulls boss Paul Buckle made his move for the 19-year-old, who can also play in defence, following suspensions to Lee Mansell and Darren Mullings.
"He is a strong, competitive player who can play box to box and score some goals," Buckle told Torquay's website.
Laird, a Scotland youth international, has made one senior appearance for the Pilgrims this season.
