Bateson, whose side face Hereford on Saturday, is still adamant he wants to sell the club as soon as possible.

He said: "I am still talking to people and ideally I would like to do a deal with someone locally.

"But if it has to be someone from out of town, then needs must. There is at least one local consortium active at the moment."
