Torquay's close season has started well after they signed Stephen Reed and now Steve Woods has agreed a new contract. Reed, who was released by Yeovil last week, was on loan with the Gulls for the final two months of the season and has signed a one-year deal.
Fellow defender Woods, signed his contract on Wednesday and has been at Plainmoor for five years.
Chairman Mike Bateson told the club website: "The message is out that we're serious about having a decent 2006/07."
