Swindon boss Danny Wilson has revealed that England Under-21s have sent scouts to watch striker Charlie Austin.
The 20-year-old only turned professional in October after joining Swindon from non-league Poole Town.
He scored in front of Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce in Town's 3-0 victory over Leeds in January.
Town manager Danny Wilson said: "We know that he's been watched. He's flavour of the month at the moment and he's rightly going to be recognised."
Austin has scored 13 goals in 15 starts, alerting the England camp to his abilities.
"He [Stuart Pearce] was very surprised with Charlie when he saw him," said Wilson.
"It was at the Leeds game and he was watching somebody else but Charlie took his eye which is fantastic."
Austin commented: "It's nice to hear, of course it is, but I just want to get my head down, play for Swindon and hopefully get promotion."
