Cox has scored on average more than a goal every other game
Swindon chief executive Nick Watkins has warned clubs interested in buying striker Simon Cox that they will need to stump up "well over" £1m.
West Bromwich Albion and Leicester are the latest teams linked with a move for the 27-goal striker.
Watkins told BBC Radio Swindon that Cox will not leave on the cheap. He said: "The value of Simon is well over £1m.
"If a Premier League side was to make a sensible offer we'd have to consider it and Simon's ambitions."
Cox is under contract to Swindon for another year and would still command a fee after that as he is only 21.
The club are keen to hang onto their striker and a record of 42 goals in 82 games is always going to alerted much bigger teams.
"You'll always get speculation about your better players but until I get a call from another manager I just ignore it," said Swindon boss Danny Wilson.
"Simon Cox has got all the attributes to play at a higher level. That's not trying to sell the player, that's just the facts."
