Swindon striker Barry Corr is to have a shoulder operation that could keep him out of action for up to six months.

Manager Danny Wilson told BBC Radio Swindon: "He knows he's going to be out for the majority of the season and any footballer would be disappointed.

"But he's got to look forward, the more positive frame of mind he's in the easier it is for him to recover."

The 26-year-old Irishman, who joined Swindon in November 2006, will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Corr has scored twice in 14 appearances for the County Ground outfit this season.
