McPhee has played only seven games for Brighton this season

The 23-year-old McPhee, who went on loan to Aldershot earlier this season, has struggled to break into the Brighton first team.

McPhee, who is out of contract at the end of the season, played just seven games for the Seagulls this season.

The Robins have also brought in French midfielder Toumani Diagouraga, 18, on loan from Championship side Watford.

Diagouraga knows that his time at the County Ground could prove to be an important time in his career.

He told Swindon's website: "Before I came to the club I spoke to Hameur Bouazza and he could only say good things. �

"This is an important spell for me. I want to show people what I can do and am eager to do well. �

"I am just pleased at the have the chance to play in the first team."
