Garry Monk and Andrea Orlandi give Swansea City boost
Monk being helped off with the knee injury against Colchester in January
Captain Garry Monk is in contention for a Swansea City comeback in their Championship clash at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Defender Monk and midfielder Andrea Orlandi both came through unscathed in Tuesday's reserve game at Plymouth.
Monk (knee) played the full 90 minutes while Orlandi (thigh) figured for 75.
"Garry and Andrea looked as if they and had never been away and came through with flying colours," said coach Alan Curtis.
If Monk plays on Saturday it will be is first appearance since injuring the knee in the 4-0 FA Cup victory over Colchester United in January.
At the time it looked as if Monk would be sidelined for three months, but after seeking specialist medical opinion the recovery period was reduced.
Spaniard Orlandi picked up his thigh injury in the second half of the Swans' 2-1 FA Cup fourth round defeat to Leyton Orient at the Liberty Stadium in January.
Orlandi had only just returned after a month on the sidelines with his left thigh, and then injured the other.
