Neil Taylor believes Swansea City will not fade in the final 13 games of the season like they did last year which cost them a play-off place.

The Swans were fourth at this stage last season under old boss Paulo Sousa but won just three games in the final run-in.

But they go into Saturday's visit of Leeds second in the table and looking for a fourth straight victory.

"It got mentioned around Christmas time," said defender Taylor.

"The lads who were here last season have already said there's a difference this season to last season.

"Games like Tuesday night at Coventry [1-0 win], we were under a lot of pressure for some spells from a team who were fighting for their lives but we came through it, and it's probably what the lads saying is different to last season.

"The lads believe it can be [different]."

Swansea welcome sixth-place Leeds to the Liberty Stadium who will be coming to close the five point gap between the two sides.

And Taylor, who joined in the summer from Wrexham, believes the Swans can make the most of home advantage with fellow promotion chasers Nottingham Forest and Norwich yet to visit.

"They're all massive games now and if we want to be going for automatic promotion, then we've got to be winning almost every home game," said the Wales international.

"But they've all got to come to us which means we've got to take the game to them.

"Also they need the points as well so they will come out and try and get something so hopefully it will work in our favour.

"We want to stay there [in the automatic promotion spots] and make sure we stay there.

"I think there will be a lot of changes before the end of the season because it's so tight up there.

"It's going to take the whole squad to do it, but hopefully come the end we've got something to show for it."
