Swansea caretaker bosses Alan Curtis and Colin Pascoe suffered a first defeat
Goals from James McQuilkin and Sean Canham gave League Two side Hereford a 2-0 pre-season friendly win over Championship outfit Swansea.
A deflected effort from McQuilkin mid-way through the first half gave the Bulls the advantage at Edgar Street.
Alan Tate, Stephen Dobbie, Nathan Dyer, Angel Rangel and David Cotterill had all threatened for the visitors.
On 52 minutes Rangel's back-header fell short of David Cornell and Sean Canham snuck in to seal the victory.
Shefki Kuqi, Gorka Pintado, Scott Donnelly and Casey Thomas all had chances after that, but could not break the visitors' duck.
The match was the first in charge for Hereford's new manager, former Swansea player Simon Davey.
It was a first defeat for Swansea caretaker duo Colin Pascoe and Alan Curtis, who have been in charge at the Liberty Stadium since Paulo Sousa's departure.
Swansea caretaker manager Colin Pascoe: "Everyone will look at the score, but it was a good run out for some of the boys who are back from injury.
"We are disappointed, though. We want to win every time we play for Swansea.
"[Fellow caretaker boss] Alan Curtis and I are loving every minute [of being in charge].
"[Swansea chairman] Huw Jenkins knows what Swansea means to both of us.
"The club want the right man, and if they take their time they know we'll be working hard.
"I can see why the fans would be concerned, but it's important to get the right man.
"I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to be manager of a high-flying Championship club with high-quality players."
[When asked if he wants the job himself] "Well, you never know."
