Sousa's Swansea missed out on the Championship play-offs by one point
Paulo Sousa refused to be drawn on the futures of his Swansea City players.
Midfield duo Leon Britton and Andrea Orlandi are out of contract, striker Lee Trundle's loan spell has ended and Stephen Dobbie is back from Blackpool.
The Swans boss also refused to comment on potential targets, but it is thought a striker would be high on the list for the Championship's lowest scorers.
"My chairman knows everything, we have had some meetings and we know the way we need to work," said Sousa.
"I never speak before decisions are concluded. It is normal for my way to proceed and I cannot tell you about that.
"The club and the chairman and the board know that and I can't tell you."
Swansea missed out on the chance of promotion to the Premier League after failing to qualify for the play-offs on the final day of the regular season, with Blackpool taking their place.
It leaves the futures of a number of players remain uncertain, with Britton reportedly being a target for four clubs including Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Premier League side Wigan, where former boss Roberto Martinez is.
Spaniard Orlandi has yet to agree a new deal, but was in the same situation last summer before agreeing the current one-year contract with runs out next month.
Dobbie has returned from his loan spell at Blackpool after helping the Seasiders win promotion to the Premier League after beating Cardiff 3-2 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley.
And Trundle's future is in limbo after his loan spell at the Liberty Stadium ended and his parent club Bristol City released him.
There are also question marks over the futures of other players who have been linked with moves to other clubs including Darren Pratley to Nottingham Forest and Angel Rangel to Fulham.
But one player who is expecting to return to pre-season training in July as a Swansea player is Alan Tate.
The defender missed the last five games of the season with a troublesome ankle injury and eventually had surgery on it.
"I was still expected to be in a boot at this time but I'm about three weeks ahead of schedule," said former Manchester United trainee Tate.
"It's only been four weeks since the operation and I've been back running since the weekend.
"It feels OK. the next step is to start working outside and then after about seven to 10 days I'll start moving a bit more and working on my fitness.
"At least I can target a return for the start of pre-season and not the end of July like originally planned."
