Paulo Sousa says he is fully committed to Swansea City despite reports linking him with the manager's job at Hull.

The Portuguese has made no secret of wanting to manage in the Premier League one day but says he is focused on trying to get there with Swansea.

The Swans go to Sheffield United on Saturday protecting just a two-point cushion for the last play-off spot over a resurgent Blackpool in seventh.

"The recognition, it's always good for the ego, for the human being," he said.

"But... I'm very focused for Saturday's game, full concentration in that, and it's what I expect from my players.

"It's to be only focused on that game, not on the game after or the play-offs.

"No, it's Saturday's game, it's a massive game for us, it's very important and we need to be focused.

"And myself, I'm completely focused on that."

The report in a national newspaper on Thursday suggested that Sousa is in the frame to take over at Hull and "at least one other Premier League club".

But the 39-year-old former Queen's Park Rangers boss says it would be extra special to reach the top flight with Swansea, who were written off as contenders at the start of the Championship season.

"It's a big achievement for a manager where the expectation in the beginning is so poor," Sousa added.

"It's a massive achievement for me and special for my players, for the club, for the fans and I hope we can achieve that."
