Joe Allen returned to action after five weeks out with a knee injury

Midfielder Joe Allen insists play-off chasing Swansea City are not worrying over their stuttering form.

Saturday's 0-0 draw at home to Ipswich left them with one win in seven going into the final six games of the season.

The Swans remain fifth in the Championship, but saw the gap between themselves and Blackpool in seventh cut to five points.

"We are still in the driving seat and that's the way we aim to keep it until the end of the season," he said.

"We're not worried. We've got too much faith in our own ability as a squad to worry.

"Especially at home, you want to win games and that's vital for any team competing at the top end of the table."

It was the Swans ninth draw at the Liberty Stadium this season, and the seventh time it ended scoreless.

But it was their 22nd clean sheet of the season equalling a club-record which was set in the 1999/00 League Two championship-winning campaign.

The Swans will be looking to end their struggling form against arch-rivals Cardiff - who are also vying for a play-off place - next Saturday.

And Allen is glad to be back on the pitch after five weeks out with a knee injury, sustained in the 1-0 win at Derby County.

"It's nice to be back," said the Wales international, who was a 66th-minute substitute.

"We've had some frustrating matches and results recently.

"I think today was extra frustrating from the point of view that Ipswich, credit to them, they got the point they came for.

"It's always difficult to play against teams when they set up the way they did.

"We pride ourselves on beating those kind of teams, but unfortunately we didn't have enough."
