Coleman ready for Martinez talks

Dimi Konstantopoulos

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman says he is prepared to talk to Swansea City about the future of on-loan goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos.

The Greek stopper is wanted by Swansea boss Roberto Martinez permanently.

He impressed during his two-month loan stay while Dorus de Vries recovered from a fractured cheek.

"I've had no conversation with Roberto, but if Roberto wants to talk to me about Dimi, it's a conversation we will have," said Coleman.

"There will be lots of things that will be thrown into the mix."

Martinez said: "I am keeping a nice bottle of wine to see if I can sweeten him (Coleman) up.

"Dimi is quite open to see what the clubs want to agree."

Konstantopoulos, 30, who played four times for the Swans, is due to return to parent club Coventry (ironically at the Liberty Stadium for a 0-0 Boxing Day draw ) after Sunday's trip to Birmingham.

"If we could get him here on a permanent basis, that would be very good for Swansea City," said Martinez.

Swansea's other loan goalkeeper Artur Krysiak returned to Birmingham on Monday.
