Swansea have signed Birmingham City's Polish goalkeeper Artur Krysiak on a three-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old goes straight into the squad for Tuesday's Carling Cup clash with Cardiff at the Liberty Stadium.
Krysiak, who stands at 6ft 4ins, signed a three-year deal with the Blues in 2006 from UKS SMS Lodz.
"We've been following his progress, he's mature beyond his years, I'm sure he will be a future Poland player," said Swans manager Roberto Martinez.
He will provide much-needed back-up at the Liberty Stadium for Dorus de Vries.
"I'm excited about joining the Swans set-up," Krysiak told the Swansea website.
"I've heard a lot about Roberto Martinez and the style of football he plays.
"I'd like to be part of it because I feel it would be a good place to progress my career."
Birmingham have an instant recall option on Krysiak should he be needed back in the Midlands.
The teenager will not be allowed to be included in the Swansea squad for the game between the two clubs at the Liberty Stadium in November.
