Kenny Jackett (right) tips Roberto Martinez to take Swansea up |
Former Swansea boss Kenny Jackett has tipped his old side to flourish in the Championship despite leading new club Millwall to a 2-1 win over them. The Swans stay 11 points ahead at the top of League One overnight, while Millwall are four clear of relegation.
"It was a good performance and a fantastic result," said Jackett.
"But I'm pleased for Swansea, they are doing tremendously well. They will be a great credit to the Championship when no doubt they get there."
He added: "I think they are worthy of the Championship with the side that they have.
"The football they play and the way the pass the ball is terrific and is something that we want to emulate."

Lewis Grabban's goal after 25 seconds gave Millwall a shock lead before Jay Simpson doubled that score with 20 minutes to go.
Jason Scotland reduced the deficit from the spot three minutes later, but the Swans could not stop their 18-match unbeaten run in the league coming to an end.
Despite the loss, manager Roberto Martinez remained upbeat.
He said: "The result is not what we wanted, but those things are going to happen over the course of the season and if you're going to lose games, that's the way to do it.
"I think the performance of the boys in terms of what we had to do an in effort in trying to win the game, I am very happy with.
"The first goal changed the whole complexion of the game, it gave Millwall something to hold on to and they played a very economical game.
"We'll take it and we can't wait to get back out on Tuesday (home to Tranmere) now."
