Martinez was pleased with Swansea's comeback |
Swansea boss Roberto Martinez said he was relieved his players showed enough character to overcome non-League Horsham in their FA Cup replay. The Swans twice had to come from behind before securing their place in the third round with a 6-2 win.
"You could see how much the magic of the cup can give you a little boost and I think Horsham were fantastic," said manager Martinez.
"But I'm proud of my players, they did a professional job."
Horsham were 2-1 up after 23 minutes thanks to Lee Farrell's double, but Swansea hit back in style to ensure a 4-2 advantage at the break.
The second-half was one-way traffic as further goals from Andy Robinson and Warren Feeney completed an emphatic scoreline which belied the first-half struggle.

Martinez added: "This was a test of character and when things went against them a little bit, they reacted well, they got the ball down and played and scored a few goals and created many, many chances.
"I think we created less chances than we did at their place but I think we were a bit more clinical and our finishing was a bit better.
"The two goals we conceded, sometimes you wonder if that is the magic that you are going to concede those types of goals.
"But overall it's a performance where the players took responsibility and found what was needed to win the football game."
Horsham boss John Maggs praised his team and Man of the Match Farrell for his two goals that twice gave his side the lead.
"His first goal was excellent and his second goal was an opportunity goal but he's taken it brilliantly," said Maggs.
"I'm so proud of the lads tonight. I said we could play and we have played. I don't think we let anyone down at all.
"We had gone 2-1 up and we were playing really, really well and I thought for 35 minutes they were a bit concerned about us.
"But at the end of the day, they showed tremendous pace, they are a quality side, they were top seed and we couldn't have met a harder side.
"The players lived the dream, the romance is over, but we've come a long, long way."
Swansea's reward for beating the Ryman League side is to face another non-league team with Havant & Waterlooville coming to the Liberty Stadium next month.
