Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde says he has learnt his lesson

The Dutch midfielder is available for Swansea's trip to Leeds on Saturday and promised there will be no repeat.

"I've never done something stupid like that, but I have learnt the lesson," said Bodde.

"I read a story on the internet that I am a crazy guy on the pitch, but I'm not crazy, I only want to win."

Bodde, 25, revealed the red card against Doncaster earlier this month was only the second of his career.

But even if Dennis Wise's men try and make him lose his cool, should be picked to play on Saturday, he said: "Let them wind me up."

Manager Roberto Martinez knows his players will have to keep their heads against a Leeds side who have won all their opening six games.

The former Champions League semi-finalists are the only side in the whole Football League to have a 100 per cent record, but are currently second from bottom of League One after having a 15-point penalty imposed for breaching insolvency rules.

The Swans head to Elland Road in fourth place after winning their last two games against Carlisle and Cheltenham, when they had to come from behind in both games.

But Martinez knows they cannot afford any slip-ups.

"It is the biggest test, not just because they are Leeds United, they have got six wins under their belt," he said. "Their confidence is really, really high.

"When you look at their first 11, six or seven have Premiership experience.

"We will be happy with a good performance and that's the way we have set up our standards.

"If we go there and don't do ourselves any justice to ourselves, we will be disappointed."

Martinez will be without midfielders Leon Britton and Andy Robinson who have both been ruled out for two weeks with hamstring injuries picked up in Tuesday's 2-1 win at Cheltenham.

But it means Bodde could get his place back and on-loan winger Paul Anderson could be handed his first league start as he aims to impress his boss, Liverpool manger Rafa Benitez.

"I don't think it matters whether you start or on the bench as long as you're doing something for the team," said Anderson.

"There are on 18 reserve games all year at Liverpool. I need games under my belt and I came here and am playing quite a bit.

"If I can prove to him (Benitez) this year that I can do it at this level and if he gives me a chance, hopefully I can take it."

As for Saturday's game, he said: "We need to get something out of the game. Hopefully we can play some good football.

"Every game is a test, even when you play the lesser sides, they are going to battle.

Meanwhile, long-term absentees Darren Way and Owain Tudur-Jones came through a 4-1 reserve match defeat against Cheltenham unscathed on Wednesday.
