Jackett is short of midfield options |
Swansea City manager Kenny Jackett has been given the go-ahead to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window. With Darren Pratley, Darren Way and Owain Tudur Jones long-term absentees Swansea are short of midfield options.
"We are a bit depleted with a number of injuries and suspensions coming up," Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.
"We'd like to strengthen our squad and we're looking to get one or two in."
Loan singing Ian Craney is expected to finalise his permanent move from Accrington Stanley in the next few days.
The midfielder joined on a month's loan at the end of November and played in all but one of Swansea's games during that period.
Swansea are also looking to off-load out of favour striker Leon Knight, who has returned to the club after a loan spell at Barnsley but has been told he has no future at the club.
