Darryl Duffy has agreed a three-year deal with Swansea

Duffy has signed a three-year deal after the clubs finally agreed a fee of �200,000, which could rise to �300,000 depending on performances and results.

The 23-year-old, who had a year left on his Hull deal, scored five goals in five starts in a short loan period at the Liberty Stadium last season.

He becomes the third striker to join League One Swansea this summer.

Trinidad & Tobago's Jason Scotland and Spain's Guillem Bauza Mayol had already moved to the Liberty Stadium, giving manager Roberto Martinez a strong strikeforce next season.

Lee Trundle is the only other senior striker at the club following Pawel Abbott's recent �100,000 move to Darlington.

Former Rangers and Scotland Under-21 player Duffy had also been linked with a move to Scottish Premier League sides Hearts and Hibernian, while Hartlepool United were also thought to be keen.

He revealed his desire to join Swansea permanently at the end of his successful loan spell last season.

But the Swans and Hull took time to thrash a deal, and Duffy revealed he feared his chance to return to south Wales had gone when he joined the rest of the Tigers squad on the club's pre-season tour to Italy.

"I'm absolutely delighted it's finally completed. It's certainly dragged on - nine weeks in fact," Duffy told the Swansea website.

"There were stages when I thought the move was dead and buried; then I'd be given renewed hope that it was back on again.

"But when Hull told me I was going with them to Italy for pre-season, I was convinced that was it for Swansea.

"Then all of a sudden I was flying back to Swansea to sign the deal. All the travelling has been hard, but well worth it.

"I don't think I made any secret of the fact that I wanted to make my move to Swansea permanent.

"I felt my time was up at Hull because I just wasn't playing first team football on a regular basis.
