Swansea's lacklustre showing frustrated Jackett |
Swansea manager Kenny Jackett singled out new signing Ian Craney as the bright spot from his side's 3-2 League One defeat at Brighton on Tuesday. Craney played half a game up front, replacing the injured Lee Trundle.
The 24-year-old was then switched to his usual midfield spot in place of an ill Shaun MacDonald.
"Craney showed flashes of his true quality when he was out there," Jackett told BBC Sport Wales. "He is going to go from strength to strength."
Striker Rory Fallon struck a late consolation for the Swans, but missed a gilt-edged last-minute chance to claim a point for his side.

"I was stretching but should have scored that," Fallon told BBC Sport Wales.
"We looked tired and lethargic and let our standards drop, but we have to grind out the draws away from home."
Jackett refused to point the finger at under-fire Kiwi striker Fallon.
"Rory felt that he should have got it, but I never knock players over missed chances," said Jackett.
"We can play better than that - it was there for us on a good pitch on a mild evening.
"But we just never got going, our passing wasn't right, and we never looked like breaking them down despite all our territory and possession.
"Despite that we brought it back to 1-1. From there it was very frustrating to concede two quick goals from set pieces.
"As for Darren Pratley's sending off - it didn't surprise me, so there are no complaints."
