Way's time at Swansea has been marred by injury |
Swansea's Darren Way faces an uncertain time on the sidelines as he awaits results of scans on a shin injury. Way has not played for almost a month after suffering a recurrence of the shin injury that restricted him to eight games for the Swans last season.
"It is a big concern. He won't be fit for the foreseeable future and I'm really disappointed," said Swansea manager Kenny Jackett.
Midfielder Way joined Swansea from Yeovil last January for 150,000.
But his season was over two months later as an old shin problem returned, prompting the 27-year-old to have surgery over the summer.
Way looked to be over the injury as he returned to action at the end of August, but his comeback lasted just nine games as he broke down again in October's win at Chesterfield.
Swansea are also bracing themselves for the loss of Tom Williams to injury.
Cyprus international Williams will discover on Thursday whether he needs surgery on hernia problem.
