Gueret has been a regular at Swansea since joining two years ago |
Swansea City have rejected a 100,000 bid from MK Dons for Willy Gueret. Goalkeeper Gueret was at fault in Swansea's League One play-off final defeat to Barnsley, but the club stress he remains part of their future plans.
"I told MK Dons we are looking to bring in another goalkeeper to get competition for Willy," chairman Huw Jenkins told BBC Wales Sport.
"He's had a good couple of years with us, he's loyal and is well liked by our supporters."
Swansea were poised to sign Wales international Jason Brown this week, but the former Gillingham keeper joined Blackburn Rovers at the 11th hour.
Jenkins added that Swansea are still interested in signing Wycombe Wanderers captain Roger Johnson despite having an initial bid of 100,000 turned down at the beginning of June.
He said they are preparing to increase their offer, but stressed they will not get involved in an auction for the defender.
