Striker Lee Thorpe has returned to Swansea after a two-month loan spell at League Two side Peterborough. The 29-year-old failed to find the net during his eight-game stint at Posh, who have now decided not to sign him.
"Certain things went on that neither party were happy with - we decided it'd be best if he went back," Posh boss Mark Wright told his club's website.
"Lee started very well for us, but we couldn't sign him permanently without getting one player out ourselves."
Wright added: "He was travelling in from Bristol every day, and that wasn't good for us or him.
"If you have to bring loan players in, you want them around all of the time, but as he is not owned by us, we can't dictate as much what we want from the player."
