Swansea youth goalkeeper Kyle Letheren has been loaned to Newport County to cover for the suspended Tony Pennock. Letheren, 17, is the son of former Leeds and Swansea goalkeeper Glan and is a rising star in the Welsh game.
The youngster is already part of the Wales Under-21 squad and played in the recent 3-3 friendly draw in Cyprus.
Newport have also signed Carmarthen defender Gareth Warton on contract, plus Wales U19 midfielder Dale Williams on a one-month loan from Yeovil.
Warton and Williams will help fill the gaps left by the jailing of Newport skipper Darren Jones and defender Andrew Thomas for assault.
