Swansea striker Lee Trundle has negotiated a lucrative image-rights deal with the League One club. Trundle has received a one-off payment to recognise the amount of money the club makes in sales of merchandise that relates to his image.
Said the 29-year-old: "It's really exciting. The deal's on the merchandise and I'm also going to have an input into a new clothing range."
Sheffield Wednesday last week had a �750,000 bid rejected for Trundle.
But the club's top scorer with 11 goals this season denied his new contract was a result of Wednesday's interest.

"[My agent and I] have been talking to the club for ages about the deal and I would have stayed whatever the outcome," said Trundle, who is contracted to Swansea until the end of next season.
Swansea signed Trundle on a free transfer from Wrexham in 2003 and the club are desperate to hold on to their talisman.
Said a club spokesman: "Most of the merchandising Swansea sell is linked to Trundle.
"It's a deal that is mutually beneficial to both parties. It's something that is unique to League One and following the interest from Sheffield Wednesday, we are very pleased."
