Sunderland defender Michael Turner has revealed his "bitter disappointment" after his free-kick mix-up led to a Liverpool goal in Saturday's 2-2 draw.
Dirk Kuyt slotted home Fernando Torres' pass to give the Merseysiders the lead after Turner's back-heel was pounced upon by the Liverpool striker.
"I've told the keeper [Simon Mignolet] to come out and rolled it back to him," Turner told BBC Newcastle.
"The ref hasn't blown, they put it in the net. It's bitterly disappointing."
He added: "On a positive point of view we played superbly, pressurised them all over the pitch and we're disappointed we didn't come away with a win."

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old believes a positive attitude was the key to their point at Anfield.
"You have to stand up for yourselves and we did that all over the pitch," Turner continued.
"We showed our fighting spirit, camaraderie and put in a good shift."
