Quinn played more than 200 games for Sunderland |
Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn is confident that the club will announce new arrivals in the near future. The Black Cats have been linked with audacious moves for manager Roy Keane's former Manchester United team-mates Paul Scholes and Diego Forlan.
But Quinn said it was not his place to comment on specific targets.
"We're working hard. There aren't a lot of deals within the Premiership, but it should fall into place for us pretty soon," he told the club's website.

And while Quinn remained tight-lipped on specific targets he did reveal his excitement at the club's return to the top flight.
"In terms of names, Roy is the one who breaks who we are attempting to sign to the public," he said.
"It's an amazing league and we're delighted to be in it. We've a lot of learning to do but hopefully we'll come in and bring something to it.
