Fulop has not made a competitive appearance for Tottenham |
Tottenham goalkeeper Marton Fulop has said he wants to make his loan move to Sunderland permanent. The 23-year-old Hungary international is on loan at the Stadium of Light until 1 January, but has already held prelimnary talks over a longer stay.
He made his Black Cats debut in Saturday's 2-1 win over Luton, but told the club website: "I'm looking forward to playing more games.
"I know Darren Ward is a good keeper, but hopefully I will stay in the team."
Fulop joined Spurs from MTK Hungaria in the summer of 2004 but has not made a first-team appearance for them, although he has also served Chesterfield and Coventry on loan.
He criticised Tottenham in August after they refused to let him join Coventry permanently.
However, he could now finally leave White Hart Lane as part of the agreed deal which should see fellow keeper Ben Alnwick join Spurs from Sunderland in January.
