Sunderland midfielder Colin Healy has broken his right leg for the second time in under 10 months, reports BBC Radio Newcastle. The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international was recovering after sustaining the initial injury against Coventry in December last year.
While training on Thursday, he again broke the lower part of the same leg.
Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy said: "I'm as sick as I could be for Colin and we will help him through this."
