Stoke skipper Andy Griffin is in his fourth spell with the Potters
Stoke City captain Andy Griffin says he is not concerned by the Potters' poor start to their first-ever Premier League campaign.
City have picked up just four points from their opening five games and lie second from bottom in the table.
Griffin told BBC Radio Stoke: "We're not losing touch with the teams above us and that's important.
"We will stay positive. We know it will be harder to stay in the Premier League than it was to get promoted."
The Potters next meet bottom side Tottenham at the Britannia Stadium on 19 October following the two-week international break.
And that is a game Griffin is already identifying as a 'must-win' fixture.
"We need to win as many games as we can at home," said Griffin. "With Tottenham being below us it's obviously a big game and we'll be looking to get a result and climb the table."
