Tonge signed for Stoke on transfer deadline day from Sheffield United
Stoke City can take at least a point from their trip to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday, according to midfielder Michael Tonge.
Tonge told BBC Radio Stoke: "It will be tough going to Anfield, but it is only 11 against 11.
"We'll go there and make it difficult for Liverpool. Hopefully we can catch them on an off day and get something out of the game."
The Potters are second from bottom, with just three points from four games.
A 2m deadline-day signing from Sheffield United, Tonge made his Stoke debut as a substitute in the 3-2 defeat against Everton at the Britannia Stadium.
Despite the result, he said the atmosphere was a joy to be a part of.
"When I joined, some of the lads said it was of the best atmospheres that they've played in," he said.
"I was looking to seeing what it was like and it lived up to it, hopefully they can be like that for the rest of the season.
"We're going to be playing against some tough teams, and they will get on top so we we'll need the fans to stick with us."
