Tom Soares says he is delighted to join Premier League new boys Stoke City following his move from Crystal Palace.
The 22-year-old midfielder signed a four-year deal at the Britannia Stadium for a fee of 1.25m on transfer deadline day.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I'm really pleased that I'm here and hopefully I can bring something to the club.
"It's a massive club, I'm keen and I'm going to work hard and hopefully maybe score some goals too."
Soares made over 100 appearances for the Eagles since making his debut at the age of 17 but said he had no hesitation when he heard that Stoke were interested.
"Neil Warnock told me that Stoke were interested and told me to get here right away and obviously I was delighted," said Soares.
"I've been really impressed by what I've seen at Stoke, the management team have been brilliant."
