Fuller scored 15 goals in Stoke's promotion season
Stoke manager Tony Pulis has described striker Ricardo Fuller as a "special player" after he helped the Potters to their first ever Premier League win.
The Jamaican international scored City's second goal in the 3-2 victory against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke: "The goals were pleasing, especially Ric's goal. That was a special goal.
"He had an operation when the season closed and we've got to be careful with him because he's a special player."
Fuller scored 15 goals in Stoke's promotion season, finishing as joint top scorer with midfielder Liam Lawrence, and has netted twice in the Potters' opening two matches in the Premier League.
Pulis started with a strike pairing of Fuller and 5.5m record signing Dave Kitson against Aston Villa, and the manager was pleased with their contribution.
"The two front lads were very, very good for an hour.
"They kept the ball better than what we have done, and that allowed us to get forward and play football."
