Fans have snapped up a record number of season tickets ahead of the clubs first season in the Premier League

Stoke City fans have bought a record number of season tickets [15,000] following their promotion to their Premier League last season.

Potters chief executive Tony Scholes told BBC Radio Stoke: "We've got an idea of the kind of numbers we want to sell, we want a full stadium."

Stoke will be playing in the top flight of English football for the first time in 23 years.

Fans still have until 4 June take up the mid-price season ticket offer.
