Stoke defender Carl Dickinson is confident the club can clinch promotion to the Premier League.

The Potters will be promoted to the Premier League if they beat Colchester on Saturday and Hull fail to beat Crystal Palace.

"I feel confident, I think we'll definitely go up," the 21-year-old told BBC Radio Stoke.

"We're going out to win every game, we won't be worrying about other results. Wherever we finish, so be it."

Dickinson joined the Potters as a trainee and this season has progressed to becoming a regular member of the first-team squad.

He will be part of the squad on Saturday that will possibly push the Potters to the Premier League and also play in the last-ever game at Layer Road.

"It could go either way," said Dickinson. "Obviously Colchester are down but they will be playing for pride so we will go there and treat it like any other game to make sure we get the win."
