Stoke City are offering a free match ticket for their rearranged game with Scunthorpe United on February 15 as a special offer to supporters. The offer is available to anyone who has bought a ticket for the home game against Southampton three days earlier.
Chief executive Tony Scholes told BBC Radio Stoke: "We want to fill the place and we want to create an atmosphere that visiting teams don't want.
"All of the players say it, the manager says it, it makes a huge difference."
Manager Tony Pulis has backed the move and urged fans to fill the Britannia Stadium, following the success of other ticket offers implemented earlier in the season.
"I think it is a fantastic gesture from the chairman Peter Coates, and I hope it's one that everybody takes up.

"If we get over 20,000 fans for both games, it will help us."
The Scunthorpe match was rearranged as both teams had a free weekend because their original opponents are in action in the FA Cup fifth round.
However, Port Vale are at home to Swansea on Saturday, February 16, and, under police advice, Stoke have moved their match forward to Friday night.
The Potters now have three home games in 11 days, starting with the Southampton game on February 12, and Scholes admitted that was part of the reason for the offer.
"Most people haven't got the time to get the money together, so they see the reasons why we've made it as affordable as possible," said Scholes.
"Season ticket holders are not to feel hard done by, however. We make a promise to season ticket holders at the beginning of the season that they will get the best deal, and this is why we offer deals for them too, as we have done throughout the season."
