Fortune impressed Pulis while he was on loan at Stoke last season |
Charlton defender Jonathan Fortune has turned down a move to Championship rivals Stoke, after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee last week. The 26-year-old, who had a spell on loan at Stoke last season, had held talks with the Britannia Stadium club.
"He still has two years left on his contract down there," Potters boss Tony Pulis told his club's website.
"At the moment, he doesn't want to commit himself to a long-term contract anywhere else."
Fortune has made 123 league appearances for Charlton since coming through their youth ranks.
