Midfielder Dominic Matteo is desperate to earn a new contract with Stoke City. The 33-year-old former Scotland international signed on a short-term deal from Blackburn last season and he believes he still has a lot to offer. "I don't think people here have seen the best of me because I was never 100% fit last season," he told the Sentinel. "I think people, and maybe the manager, are looking at my age and the fact I've had a few injuries. But if they let me go they will be making a big mistake."
