Stoke City midfielder John Eustace says he is close to agreeing a new deal but nothing has been finalised yet. The former Coventry star told BBC Radio Stoke he feels as fit as he has and wants to sign by the start of pre-season training on Thursday.
Eustace, 27, joined Stoke in July 2003 but his time at the Britannia Stadium has been plagued by injuries.
Eustace spent a spell on loan at Hereford United last season and started just eight games for the Potters.
