Pulis elated with defensive duo
Stoke boss Tony Pulis paid tribute to defenders Michael Duberry and Danny Higginbottom for helping the side hang on to a 1-0 lead at Crystal Palace.

"Higginbotham and Duberry were smashing at the back today," said Pulis after the Championship win.

"Danny has been so consistent since we put him back at centre-half and I think he enjoys playing there.

"We've played better this season and not got anything so we're pleased with the three points."
